PSG Players’ Cars and Fabián Ruiz’s Surprising Smart

Fabián Ruiz and the Smart that Stood out at PSG

A recent video of PSG players arriving for training turned the club car park into a lifestyle story. The most attention might normally go to the largest SUV or most expensive luxury model, yet Fabián Ruiz became the talking point after arriving in a compact Smart ForTwo.

Once PSG returned to competitive action, bets on football matches put the focus back on Ruiz’s role, expected line-up and recent form rather than what he drives to training. His car attracted attention precisely because it looked so different beside the larger vehicles used by several teammates.

The Smart Created the Strongest Contrast

The Smart did not stand out simply because it is a small city car. Its surroundings made the difference. Reports linked Lucas Hernández with a modified Rolls-Royce Spectre, Ousmane Dembélé with a Mansory Bentley Bentayga and Nuno Mendes with a Brabus Mercedes G-Class.

Besides vehicles defined by size, luxury and road presence, the small two-seat Smart immediately became the most unexpected sight.

That does not mean Ruiz only drives compact cars. Earlier reports have also linked him with an Audi Q8, suggesting that the Smart is one of several vehicles he has used rather than evidence of a broader preference for modest cars. Its appeal in this particular footage came from the contrast: among imposing luxury models, the smallest car drew the most attention.

Small Dimensions Make Sense in a City

A Smart ForTwo offers practical advantages that have little to do with football status. Its short body makes parking in tight spaces easier, while its compact footprint suits dense streets and short urban journeys. These qualities help explain why the model has long been associated with city driving.

Its practical characteristics include:

  • a small footprint that makes parking easier;
  • good manoeuvrability in narrow streets;
  • enough cabin space for two occupants;
  • less bulk than a large SUV;
  • proportions designed for short urban trips.

None of these points reveals why Ruiz personally chose the car. They simply show that a Smart can make practical sense even for someone who has access to much larger and more expensive vehicles.

A Footballer’s Car Says Little About Performance

Cars are easy to turn into stories about personality. A Rolls-Royce may be described as extravagant, while a Smart can quickly be labelled modest or sensible. Those interpretations are tempting, but the car a player drives to training says nothing reliable about professional form, tactical role or importance to the team.

The same distinction matters in betting analysis. A PSG match should be assessed through opponent quality, recent performances, squad availability, expected line-ups and the market being considered. A viral training-ground clip may circulate on the same day PSG odds appear on 1xbet, but it offers no useful evidence for assessing a match winner, handicap, total or player market.

Lifestyle reporting and football analysis can therefore tell two very different stories about the same player. The Smart attracts attention away from the pitch, while any sporting assessment still depends on what Ruiz and PSG actually do in competition.

Ruiz Stands out by Choosing Less Visual Drama

The most interesting part of the footage is the contrast itself. PSG’s training arrivals have featured cars designed to command attention through size, prestige or extensive customisation. Ruiz drew attention with a vehicle that offers almost none of those qualities.

That contrast helps explain why the footage spread online. A Smart parked beside a Rolls-Royce or a heavily modified luxury SUV creates an image that viewers understand immediately. No knowledge of engines, prices or specifications is needed to see how different the cars are.

It also gives the story more character than another list of expensive footballers’ vehicles. Luxury models are common around elite clubs, whereas a compact two-seat city car appearing among them provides the unexpected detail that makes the scene memorable.

The Car Park Shows Different Approaches to Luxury

PSG’s car park suggests that there is no single pattern in the vehicles elite players choose. Some reported cars emphasise luxury, size and customisation, while Ruiz’s Smart brings a much more compact and understated option into the same setting.

The point is not that one choice is better than another. What makes the Smart interesting is that it challenges the familiar assumption that a successful footballer will always arrive in the largest, most expensive or most conspicuous vehicle available.

For a closer look at the cars associated with PSG players, that contrast is more informative than simply ranking them by price. The Rolls-Royce, Bentley and Brabus models establish the luxury-heavy setting, while Ruiz’s Smart supplies the unexpected detail that gives the story its identity.
