Information Technology

Technology you Want

We have made a long-term commitment to utilizing technology to serve our customers. Our management information system is a centralized, fully integrated system utilizing state-of-the-art servers. The system is based on a company-wide database, which allows us to quickly respond to customer information requests without having to combine data files from several sources. We are currently implementing GPS devices in our fleet, which enables our terminals to provide customers with timely updates concerning vehicle load, dispatch and delivery and promotes efficient control and tracking of customer vehicle inventories. Through electronic data interchange and other protocols, we communicate directly with manufacturers and other shippers in the process of delivering vehicles, including electronic invoicing and collection. We also use these protocols to communicate with inspection companies, railroads, port processors and other carriers.

Environment

Preserving the Great View

We’re talking about preserving the great view by staying ahead of the curve in our commitment to the environment. Being compliant with the EPA isn’t enough. We have instituted initiatives to reduce oil consumption and waste, recycling all fluids and monitoring engine idle time on an ongoing basis. We are an active partner of SmartWay, the public/private collaboration with the U.S. EPA that helps reduce transportation-related emission by improving supply chain fuel efficiency."
